The 2008 Festival will run from Saturday 6th - Saturday 20th September.

We will be featuring news of gigs and events as soon as we have details.
An initial programme has been published for gigs at St Ives Guildhall - details below.

We've also got videos and pictures from the 2007 Festival.

St Ives September Festival 2008 - Info & Tickets

Tickets are now available from St Ives Tourist Information Centre at The Guildhall.

Call 01736 798577 to buy tickets.

Debit and credit card sales incur a £1.00 per ticket booking fee.

You should consider booking your accommodation early as most places fill up quickly for the festival fortnight. The Hotels & Guest Houses and Apartments & Cottages pages of this site have details.

Other Gigs

Singers of shanties and sea songs - Hanging Johnny - will be playing various venues around the town on the opening day - Saturday 6th September.

The Carrie Mann Quartet are at The Queens Hotel on Sunday 7th September. Nicola Clark is performing there on Wednesday 17th September.

The Lifeboat Inn will no doubt be staging music on most days. Gigs listed so far are Square One (Coldplay tribute band) on Saturday 6th September, Dave Rich Band on Thursday 11th September and Fragile Sanity on Saturday 20th September.

Also on Saturday 20th - The Flocking Bustards at The Queens Hotel.

Killer Shrimp are playing at St Ives Jazz Club on Tuesday 9th.

As ever The Western Hotel will be staging a full programme of gigs - several acts are already booked .... more details here soon.

A sale of high quality handmade arts and crafts by local artists and craftspeople - all produced locally under the Made in Cornwall Scheme. Pieces will include woven and felt textiles, bags, iron work, cards and jewellery.

  SNOTTON TV - An Alternative Tourist Guide to St Ives
“The Jewel In the Crown Of Cornwall” lurches from the sublime to the ridiculous in this spoof documentary providing fifty one minutes of original comedy adventure in one of Britain’s favourite tourist destinations.

Written , produced and filmed entirely on location in town and described as “The Alternative Tourist Guide to St Ives,” SNOTTON TV takes a tongue in cheek(s) look at the rich diversity of characters and locations to be found in one of Britain's most famous and picturesque seaside resorts.

The film was shown at St Ives Arts Club during the 2007 Festival to a great response. You can buy it online here by clicking on the link below.

  Open Studios
Each year local artists invite visitors to come and see them working and their work. Some of the studios are closed to visitors for most of the year and only open on the nominated days during the festival.
