Seagrass in St Ives – now looking to recruit a talented Sous Chef to join our team. Seagrass has been voted #1 restaurant in St Ives (TripAdvisor) and we pride ourselves in using only quality seasonal produce, creating a modern and innovative menu which changes with the season and making everything in-house, from breads and stocks to truffles and ice-creams. We now need someone to support our Head Chef to grow the business further...
Responsibilities:
- Assists and supports the head chef.
- Assists with the planning of menus and meals.
- Oversees the preparation and service of food.
- Assists in the control and management of stock and ordering.
- Offers guidance to junior chefs on the preparation, cooking and presentation of different foods in the restaurant.
- Assists the Head Chef in the enforcement of health and safety standard in the kitchen.
- Handles any problems that may arise in the kitchen.
- Helps in ensuring customers are served efficiently and effectively.
- Supervises and manages the junior.
